Error 651 when connecting to the Internet is a common malfunction that is localized in the Windows 7 environment, a little less often appears in the “eight”. The system may give an error when connecting to a high-speed network or Miniport WAN PPPoE. This interrupts the subsequent connection to the network. The connection cannot be configured for one of several reasons.
- A connection to another network is configured (or the Internet is completely absent, there is no cable in the connector). - The connection failure with error 651 appeared due to the incorrect operation of the antivirus software, and the firewall should also be included here. The constant invention of more and more new and powerful means of protecting your computer leads to unexpected problems, for example, antiviruses can block the necessary components of the system. To understand whether this is the case, it is worth temporarily disabling the antivirus with a firewall and checking if a connection is possible at this moment.
