In the view of the whole world, the Wild West is associated with “rivers” of alcohol, violence and deserted places. All of the above is successfully implemented in Red Dead Redemption 2. The developers paid special attention to alcohol. There are 13 types of alcoholic drinks with different strengths in the game. Each species is usable, but intoxicating at a different rate. It is clear that you will need more beer than whiskey.
Red Dead Redemption 2 has a special drink system with different strengths and different stages of intoxication. It is immediately evident that the alcoholic component of the game is extensive. Nevertheless, for a complete understanding of this area, you need to know the specific numbers of the alcohol concentration in each type of drink.
How much and what kind of alcohol will it take to get drunk?
In general, this part of the game does not have to be used. Many people successfully avoid it throughout the game. Still, there is at least 1 story mission that must be completed while intoxicated. At least for this purpose, it is worth knowing the amount of alcohol required to “clouder the mind.”
4 levels of intoxication
The character is always in one of four states:
- Sobriety. It persists for the entire time, while the concentration of alcohol in the character is up to 0.49;
- Under the degree. After drinking alcohol from 0.5 to 0.74, dizziness begins;
- Exhaustion. The character has difficulty walking and is incapable of fighting. This state persists when the amount of alcohol is from 0.75 to 0.99;
- “Darkness”. It comes as soon as the amount of alcohol reaches 1.
The last degree of intoxication – the character falls asleep and wakes up only the next day. To move on to a new day, you can drink 4 bottles of “Kentucky Bourbon”. The number of other drinks is calculated using the formula at the bottom of the page.
The amount of alcohol in alcoholic beverages
Below are all the meanings of alcohol found in the Wild West.
Drink type | How much alcohol |
Beer | 0.1 |
Whiskey | 0.1 |
Roma Guarma on tap | 0.1 |
Lovely Brandy (glass) | 0.1 |
draft gin | 0.1 |
Kentucky Bourbon in a tavern | 0.13 |
Rum Guarma | 0.17 |
Brandy | 0.17 |
Gin | 0.17 |
Kentucky Bourbon | 0.25 |
Moonlight | 0.3 |
Whole bottle of whiskey | 0,4 |
Pirate Rum | 0.5 |
The formula is extremely simple: you need to look at the value suitable for sufficient intoxication of the character, and divide the number from the table by it. As an example, you need to drink 5 beers to get drunk. Until the aggravation of the condition, three more mugs are not enough. If you drink 10 cups, a new day will begin. If, during the calculation, a non-integer number is obtained, it must be rounded up.
