How to fix error 0x8000000b in Windows 10 Mail app?

Press the Windows key + S key combination. Enter “Mail” in the search engine of the system and click LMB on the found result. In the window of the Mail application, click on the icon in the form of three horizontal stripes and click on the item “Accounts”. Then click on “Add account” with a plus sign.
A completely new “Add Account” window will appear in front of you. Go down to the very bottom of this small window and click on the “Advanced setup” line with the gear icon. The window will change – click on the “Internet email” item.
Specify the data you need in the appropriate lines, and then write:
- Incoming email server – imap.gmail.com:993
- Account type – IMAP4
- Outgoing email server – smtp.gmail.com:465.
Make sure you check the boxes next to the following options:
- Outgoing server requires authentication
- Use same user name and password for sending email
- Require SSL for incoming email
Once all the fields are filled in, click on the “Sign in” button, then wait a few minutes. Your Gmail account will be added to the Windows 10 Mail app and no error 0x8000000b will bother you.
