Netflix showed the first few minutes of Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness as part of Geek Week, and it all starts with a helicopter crash.
We still don’t know a lot about Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, but we already know for sure that this will be the official canon of Resident Evil, confirmed by both Netflix and Capcom, with Hiroyuki Kobayashi serving as producer and supervisor. It is he who makes sure that Infinite Darkness does not allow too many creative liberties and deviations in the franchise canon.
It is known that Resident Evil 2 Remake voice actors Nick Apostolides and Stephanie Panisello will present their voices to Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield. It is known from the trailer shown at the Resident Evil Showcase that Leon will somehow be invited. to the White House for talks with the President along with Claire.
The Geeked Week teaser shows US military helicopters flying with soldiers over the fictional Republic of Penamstan. One of these helicopters is shot down, and the other goes to rescue the survivors. For some reason, the gray-haired general in sunglasses orders the rescue helicopter to leave his buddies.
It all looks like a scene from The Fall of the Ebon Hawk, which makes you wonder, how exactly zombies will get into the plot. The previous April teaser showed walkers attacking the White House, so maybe in the next trailer we’ll see a horde of zombies come after these poor soldiers.
Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness Release Date: July 8, 2021. The series will be released on Netflix.
