Solution # 1 Update Google Chrome to the latest version

- click on the three dots in the upper right corner and select “Help → About Google Chrome”;
- follow the update;
- restart Google Chrome and check for NETWORK FAILED.
Solution # 2 Launch the built-in malware removal tool
As we said above, the NETWORK FAILED error can occur due to malware. Fortunately, Google Chrome has a built-in tool that can scan your system for such software and get rid of it. To get this tool up and running, you need to do the following:
- launch the browser;
- click on the icon in the form of three dots and select “Settings”;
- click on the drop-down menu “Additional”;
- go to the “System” section;
- click on the option “Remove malware from computer”;
- in the next window, click “Find”;
- Wait for the scan of your system to complete and follow the further instructions on the screen.
After getting rid of all malicious elements (if any), restart your computer and check if the NETWORK FAILED error has been fixed.
Solution # 3 Changing the download location
In some cases, the NETWORK FAILED error may occur due to the selected download folder. The path you previously selected may no longer be available. To change the download path of Google Chrome files, do the following:
