Summer has come! Children can now rightfully enjoy the longest vacation of the year, and moviegoers look forward to a number of high-profile premieres… For the sake of fairness, we note that some releases have already taken place, and more recently, while other new items have not yet been presented to the general public.
The basis was taken rating of the most anticipated paintings, compiled by the notorious Fandango service. Today we will tell you a little about the upcoming premieres and share our first impressions of the released releases.
Black Widow

The release of the next “solo album” from Marvel can hardly surprise anyone, however, fans of the series will undoubtedly be delighted. As in previous films, for the role Black widow (Natasha Romanoff) was invited Scarlett Johansson, which in itself is a powerful magnet for the public. The actress has repeatedly stated that she would be happy to take part in such a project and the positive reaction of the audience to her character became the determining factor that pushed the studio to shoot.
It should be noted that the creators of the picture position it as the story of the formation of the character. Project “Black Widow” it was planned to make it as self-sufficient as possible so that casual viewers could enjoy the tape, and fans of the series learned a lot about the familiar heroine. However, the focus will periodically shift to another curious character – Elena Belova, who is undergoing special training and, like Natasha, wants to become a Black Widow. The highlight is that the girls are completely different from a mental point of view and it will be at least interesting to observe their interaction.
Of course, this picture, first of all, is designed for fans of the series, who are deeply immersed in the essence of what is happening. The popularity of comic book adaptations today is very significant, and demand creates supply. It is curious that back in 2009, it was planned to invite Emily Blunt, but she was forced to refuse, citing employment. Perhaps the Scarlett Johansson option turned out to be even more attractive to filmmakers and the public.
Quiet place 2

It cannot be said that horror “Quiet place” has become an immortal classic that will be revisited for generations. However, we saw a very curious and original film with its own flavor. The plot told us how an ordinary family adapts in a post-apocalyptic world ruled by monsters who are attracted by any sounds. Survivors try to be quiet, but this is a very difficult task even for an adult, let alone children.
Picture “Quiet place 2” is a logical continuation of the first part, so there is no point in watching it separately – many points will simply be incomprehensible. John Krasinski relied on the characters already known to us and took the main party to the failed Black Widow, Emily Blunt… Only now the family will get acquainted with other survivors and new types of monsters, the director devoted much more screen time to them this time. Also, prepare your ears for pretentious dialogue, which will dilute the general atmosphere of tension a little.
Surprisingly, right after the premiere, many noted that the sequel is strong enough continuation. The director managed to bring in new ideas while retaining the original idea. Since such a success is not a frequent event, we take off our hats to Krasinski.
Fast & Furious 9

It seems that even the most notorious fans of the series are starting to stir up at the mention of the tape. “Fast and Furious 9”… The picture, although quite recently appeared at the box office, has collected a lot of angry comments and not very high ratings from the audience. And everything seems to be as usual – the roar of engines, invincible heroes and familiar faces all around, but the previous effect is not there. Perhaps the franchise has already outlived its usefulness, because in the history of cinema there are practically no cases when such late parts were evaluated positively.
And it seems Dominic Toretto ready to start a quiet, measured life. But according to the law of the genre, a new villain looms on the horizon and does not allow the main character to sleep well. Vin Diesel re-assembles a team to drive cool cars, destroy enemies and joke awkwardly in his free time from showdowns. By the way, new villain – desperate racer, but his crazy plans to take over the world were not to the taste of the critics, who literally crushed the antagonist’s personality.
Let’s give the film its due – the action hasn’t gone anywhere, it is present in huge quantities, and computer graphics can make the picture really juicy. For the rest – we have a tape, the plot of which is sucked from the finger, in pursuit of commercial success, filmmakers simply cannot stop, continuing to mock the cooling body of the franchise.
Suicide Squad: Mission Kick Through

We’ve already spoken a bit about the MCU, and now it’s DC’s turn. Picture Suicide Squad: Mission Kick Through conceived to remove even before the release of the first part. Probably, the relative financial success of the original was an additional incentive to start creating a sequel, although the project turned out to be very controversial. Even many comic book lovers criticized “Suicide squad”, so it’s hard to imagine what we will be fed in the sequel.
However, the plot is quite typical: prisoners Belle Reeve – people with supernormal abilities. When recruits are needed to complete the next dangerous mission, prisoners are quickly remembered, sending them to certain death. However, notorious scoundrels are not going to leave this world ahead of time – their abilities are sometimes greatly underestimated. Already from the title of the picture it becomes clear that will not do without losses, but there will be a lot of actors – there is where to take away.
The prospects for the sequel in terms of artistic value do not look too bright. Hardly Gunn will mess with the plot a lot – the rate is probably made on the fights and the personalities of the heroes, which are of particular interest to the viewer. However, there is no doubt that the film will be profitable – for this very reason it is being shot.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

And again we go back to the Marvel comics. It’s hard enough now to say what to expect from a painting. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, but after reading the comments of its creators, a lot falls into place. The plot has been gathering dust on the shelf for a long time, and the film studio only dreamed of realizing it in the distant future. Then the production of the tape was accelerated, as the prospect of filming the first Marvel adaptation with an Asian in the lead role seemed extremely attractive to filmmakers. The film is compared to “Black Panther”where all the action revolves around the African American.
Shang-Chi lives in San Francisco and is fluent in martial arts. The father of the protagonist is the leader of the terrorists who call themselves “Ten Rings”… Shang-Chi does not want to have anything to do with a close relative, but he suddenly reminds of himself, appealing to family debt. Now the hero has to continue the work of his father, but since he is unlikely to agree with this, a heated confrontation awaits us.
By the way, the creators of the picture had to remake the main villain in order to avoid broadcasting stereotypes associated with Asians. Also, the negative character will be given some positive traits to make him seem more human.
