It is impossible to imagine even the smallest server without software enhancements. With their help, the ability to register, change the skin and even drop items is connected. However, finding stable and working plugins is difficult. We did our best and did it for you.
A standard multiplayer server, launched with tools available even in the licensed version of Minecraft, full of flaws: you cannot configure authorization parameters, assign assistants, integrate new cards. In addition to functional limitations, there are also technical limitations: sometimes clients of older versions are not supported, the built-in anti-cheat cannot cope with the load and lets outright violators pass. The listed problems are solved by loading plugins. What to choose and how to add everything – details below!

Installation
Minecraft plugins are not intended for the client versions of the sandbox and those who are used to exploring the pixelated wastelands in splendid isolation, but for administrators who run and maintain a multiplayer server with additional content. The host status obliges you to deal with a simple basic instruction:
- First, you have to choose a modification that allows you to configure, update and run servers for Minecraft: Craftbukkit, Spigot, PaperSpigot, TacoSpigot, Sponge – the choice is extensive and largely depends on individual preferences, the desired set of functions, supported third-party content and even the interface. It is not necessary to dwell on a specific modification right away – you should try at least a few, and then decide;
- If the server base is defined, then the next step is to download the plugin and move it to the plugins directory. Changes will take effect after restarting Minecraft.
SkinsRestorer
A mod for Minecraft that adds tools to the server for changing character skins without restarting the sandbox. A new skin is configured through the command line, available to both administrators and server visitors. The skin changes after entering the nickname of a player with a licensed version of Minecraft (the plugin does not offer suitable combinations, you have to look for nicknames on the network) along with a combination / skin set.
On first upload to server with SkinsRestorer a random skin is assigned automatically: so there is a chance to immediately stand out from the crowd.

WorldEdit
A massive add-on for Minecraft that adds commands to interact with the generated world. WorldEdit allows move biomes, highlight individual parts of the map, copy blocks, swap forests and mountains, update the landscape and even choose where to store veins with iron ore or diamonds.
The plug-in for Minecraft offers administrators to use a navigation grid for construction (eliminates the possibility of making mistakes in calculations), go through walls and teleport in a chosen direction using coordinates added to the command line. And WorldEdit is also capable of wipe hostile mobs off the face of virtual land and change the purpose of already placed elements (for example, a cobblestone will become a tree).

ViaVersion
New versions of Minecraft, although they bring fresh content to the sandbox, also force owners of pirated versions of clients to download updates from unverified sources, and then also re-tune textures, modifications and graphics. As a result, each new server update turns from a joyful event into an insurmountable test.
Minecraft plugin ViaVersion allows you to reduce the amount of user suffering and activates extended content support by different versions. The problems will not disappear at all, but errors will begin to occur much less frequently, and those who are accustomed to 1.15.X will not have to deal with additional steps before switching to 1.16.X.

LuckPerms
Configurator plugin designed to configure the rights of administrators, moderators, users and random guests who stumbled upon the server. Provides detailed customization through the web extension (command / lp editor groups), and at the same time offers to choose what opportunities and to whom to issue, for how long and for what reason.
The scope of the rights is set as a bonus: restrictions are set in the config file. Additionally, LuckPerms allows you to import and export settings related to rights to third-party servers, and at the same time transfer important information from plugins of similar functionalitylike GroupManager or PermissionsEx. You just need to enter the command / lp migration old_plugin_name.

An experimental plugin for the Minecraft server that includes the option in manual mode give out items, tools and resources via the command line. Items are added to the inventory and throughout the map, regardless of belonging to the original version of the sandbox or third-party modifications (swords, workbenches, teleports – no restrictions are provided).
If, after generous donations, a farce and chaos is going on on the server, then it is not necessary to go to locks and restrictions: SimpleJoinItems allows clear the contents of other people’s inventories and return to the virtual universe the usual serene atmosphere.

Plugin for Minecraft, crossed with a graphic editor designed to add images, pictures and even photos to the server, applied to paper maps, showing the location of treasures and details of the world around.
The ImageOnMap set is often used by server administrators for decorative purposes (signboards, directional arrows, plates, inscriptions), but sometimes illustrations are needed to decorate clues on cards with riddles and puzzles. Plugin works in automatic mode: without unnecessary commands adjusts the image to the size of the map, selects the appropriate graphic parameters and even downloads the source code from the Internet.

An indispensable plugin for the Minecraft server, integrating a special player into the sandbox for listening to music (the function of synchronization of the tracks being played is provided) and voice chat for communication… OpenAudioMc allows 16 users to communicate simultaneously. Checking the activity of users on the server takes place in several stages: the Matrix plugin does not immediately hang up “shortcuts” and does not try to block those who are even a little suspicious.
