A quick guide to resetting a character in The Outer Worlds

In The Outer Worlds, players have the opportunity to upgrade the characteristics, abilities and skills of their main character. Strength, agility, intelligence, insight, melee and ranged combat, protection, communication – all this and much more lends itself to pumping to varying degrees. Nevertheless, half the way – or even at the very beginning – of the passage, you may come to the realization that you were not satisfied with your choices. What to do?

Fortunately, in The Outer Worlds you can reset the protagonist’s leveling, and such an opportunity will be available to you literally from the very beginning of the game. To open the character reset, first you need to get on board the spaceship “Hopeless” – this can be done as soon as you get out of the initial caves.

Climb aboard the Hopeless and climb the stairs to its second floor. Then go to the end of the corridor and go to the car with the name “Redistributor of professional abilities”. Well, then do as you see fit. When resetting a character, it is important to remember two things:

  • Skills and abilities can be reset, but not stats. To drastically change the latter, you will have to start a new save, which is not so scary if you are at the very beginning of the passage.
  • Each subsequent resetting of the character will increase in value. For example, the first reset will cost you only five hundred bits, all subsequent ones are much more expensive. Therefore, think seven times before using the services of this terminal.
