Apex Legends players are already tired of constantly complaining about the game freezing on the loading screen. Infinite loading is a common problem that seems to be affecting players from different countries and regions. The gamer simply cannot overcome the loading window, it is constantly shown and does not allow to enter the game. Today there are a couple of theories regarding the origin of the problem. Two theories have the most adherents: the problem of reading game files and a failure to link to the Origin profile.
Despite the relative stability of Apex Legends, there are still a couple of nasty, annoying bugs left in it. One of which is endless loading. There is good news, the problem can be really fixed using the methods described below.
How to solve the bug with the game freezing on the loading screen?
The first recommended action is to completely close Apex Legends and the Origin client. It is important not only to close them with a cross in the right corner, but also to make sure that application processes are absent in the “Task Manager” (you can get there by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Del). If there are any processes left from the game or Steam, you should right-click on them and select “End task”.
Once all processes are complete, you should start Origin and make sure that the user is authorized in the system.
The second way to fix it is to run the game in compatibility mode with Windows 7 and with admin rights.
What do I need to do:
- Open the folder where all games from the Origin library are installed.
- Start the directory named Apex and find the executable file r5apex.exe in it.
- Right-click on the file and select “Properties”.
- Go to the Compatibility tab and set the Compatibility Mode to Windows 7.
- You should also set the selection next to “Run this program on behalf of the Administrator.”
- Press the “Apply” button, then – “Ok”.
To play more comfortably, you should also choose the right game server. To do this, you need to launch Apex Legends and do nothing in the main menu until the moment when the “Data Center” appears. It also shows the ping and the number of lost packages when playing on a specific server. You should choose the most suitable server and start playing.
