Many of the game challenges in Watch Dogs: Legion involve unique gadgets and skills that allow you to interact with the world in a specific way. You will need tech points to buy and upgrade them, and this limited resource needs to be invested wisely as you cannot get it back after you spend it. To help you make the right choice, we’ve rounded up the most useful gadgets, updates, and hacks in the game here.
Spiderman Scout Robot
The spider robot is an indispensable gadget. An inconspicuous bot is able, moving through the ventilation shafts, to get to the most inaccessible and guarded places. He knows how to hack terminals and consoles, as well as stun opponents. You will probably use it very often, so we recommend that you install both available updates:
- double jump with sprint;
- camouflage system.
This is arguably one of the best abilities in the game and will make it much easier to recruit people into DeadSec, even if they don’t have any sympathy for the secret hacker group. When you see an interesting target, just hold down the middle mouse button and add it to your list of potential recruits. From there, you can learn a lot of interesting information that opens up new recruitment options.
The item costs 45 tech, but is definitely a must as it provides damage reduction to all of your DeadSec agents. Many of your opponents in the game are well armed and will open fire as soon as you give them a reason, so increasing your chances of survival is a good idea.
Almost all hacks
Unsurprisingly, the hacks in a digital hacking game are pretty strong. Hacking a variety of drones and turrets is essential, and the higher you upgrade them, the better. This will buy you valuable mission time, reduce threats, and even allow you to use them against enemies.
In terms of weapons, we recommend focusing on the LTL 68P DedSec pistol and grenade launcher. The former gives you a quiet way to eliminate awkwardly placed enemies (assuming you have a silencer installed), while the latter is an effective weapon in case you have no choice but to act loudly.
AR-cloak and AR-cover
The augmented reality cloak will allow you to become temporarily invisible, and the digital cloak will hide the enemies you have eliminated. Both are excellent assistants during stealth missions.
