First, you need to know that you must own Premium HDMI cables. They will be used to connect all of your configuration into one system. So make sure you have Premium HDMI in stock. Then you will need to enable 4K resolution on all devices in conjunction with PS4 Pro… This list may include, for example, a TV directly, a receiver or something similar. Before we go into detail on the steps to enable 4K mode, also make sure to use the exact HDMI for 4K you want to connect to.
Setting up PS4 Pro
As soon as any device capable of working with 4K is connected to the console, the 4K mode will immediately be launched. But for verification, it is best to do the following yourself:
- Go to “Settings” PS4 Pro.
- Then in “Sound and Screen”.
- In the tab “Video Output Settings” put value “2160P – YUV420”, or “2160p-RGB”.
- If you see unavailable parameters in the list, then know that the device to which you want to output the signal from PS4 Pro, does not know how to work with 4K.
- Alternatively, you can simply select the mode “Automatically”… In him PS4 Pro will independently set the maximum available values.
- Go to a game or start watching a video.
If you could not “find” any changes, then try to delve into the settings of the game itself. Some of them are launched in 4K precisely through in-game settings.
Configuring other devices
It is rather difficult to describe something here, but a general concept can be presented. It is best if you find the user manual that comes with each technique.
- Go to Image Settings.
- Go through them carefully and find there the item about activating the 4K mode.
- You should do the same for other devices.
