The original first part of Mass Effect was rather drab and visually dull. In the Legendary Edition, this was fixed by adding bright colors, as in the second and third Mass Effect. Despite the good work done by Bioware, the craftsmen were able to make the colors and lighting even better in the Better Colors and Lighting Reshade Preset mod.

This modification changes color grading and light so that the game looks more realistic. The brightness may decrease compared to the reissue, but the overall picture is clearly getting better.

Mod is compatible with three parts and displays all the changes made. These include corrected brightness, improved contrast, saturation of colors and tones, as well as adding glow and light refraction effects. Naturally, with such a modification, the system will be loaded more, so some players will have to sacrifice the loss of 5-10 frames per second.

Change of interface

This modification allows you to switch between a filled and empty interface. The original trilogy still had HUD problems, but by the third installment, the Canadian developers had found the perfect balance. However, players have never had the option to hide all UI elements without mods.

Increased FOV

The standard FOV of the original trilogy and Legendary Edition was wide enough, but extremely small in height. This made it look like the camera was attached to Shepard’s back.

With the new Better Camera mod, you can adjust FOV height, adjusting it to fit you. If you turn the slider to the maximum value, the view will increase significantly, but the feeling of dynamics will be lost. Therefore, it is recommended to look for a balanced version at average values.

Same-sex relationships in Mass Effect

The Mass Effect series is known for being romantically involved and dating characters of the same gender as Shepard. In the first part, same-sex romances are not available, although Kaidan, who appeared in Mass Effect 3, became bisexual abruptly.
