Absolution was released on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 and its graphics were much better than previous games. The environment has become more realistic. but fans criticized the game for being much more linearthan the original parts of the series. As for the advertising campaign, in the previous parts it was quite loyal, which is not to say about Absolution. It was all the fault of the release of a special application associated with the Facebook account, which allowed threaten your friends with elimination in a play style.

Released in 2018 Hitman 2 for PC, Stadia, PS4 and Xbox One, became the second title in the slated trilogy invented by the developers of the “World of Assassins”. This game has abandoned the episodic format of its predecessor. They were replaced by additional extensions (DLC), which gradually became available after launch. Hitman 2 originally had online multiplayer mode, but at the moment the servers are already down.
One of the fans’ favorite mode, “Elusive Target”, has also been preserved here. This is a live part of the game, in which the players had only one opportunity to complete the task. It appeared every few weeks, and gamers had a limited amount of time to find and eliminate their target. It was such an interesting feature that the developers asked the famous British actor Sean Bean portray the first elusive target for Hitman 2.

Hitman
Hitman was the first title in the franchise released by the episode. A total of six episodes were released, which is quite symbolic, given that this is the sixth installment in the series. The first part was released in March 2016, and the last one in October of the same year. Interestingly, this game was supposed to be developed by the studio Square Enix Montreal, but after the unsuccessful work on Absolution, IO Interactive took control of this franchise, and the Square Enix team focused on mobile hitmen instead.
This project was the first of a trilogy in the World of Assassins franchise. It was released for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Due to its release specifics, Metacritic has a score for each individual episode. If we average the indicators for all episodes, then the first part of the new trilogy takes third place, although undoubtedly it is worth considering each episode separately.
Metacritic rating: 85
Hitman 2: Silent Assassin
Silent Assassin was the first game in the series to be released on home consoles, and was available for PC, PS2 and Xbox in 2002. With a slight delay, namely in 2003, the Hitman got to the GameCube. In the sequel to the original, a similar gameplay was preserved, where players have a goal to eliminate at each level, and the way to achieve it depends on the players themselves, since already then there were several options for passing.
This game was considered commercially successful and received more good reviewsthan her predecessor, although around the level where Agent 47 eliminates the Sikhs at the holy site of Harmandir Sahib has caused some controversy in the community. In response, Eidos removed the mention of the Sikhs and turned them into “Kul Ji”, however, only the PC and GameCube versions were changed.
